A 3rd grade student brought her brother's collection of Pokemon cards (about 200 cards in a Pokemon tin) to school. After trading cards during lunch recess, she set it down on the play ground and it disappeared. She asked the duty and her teacher but no one had seen it. Please watch for this tin of cards at your house. Thanks for your help!

Veteran's Day Assembly
North Star's 7th annual Veteran's Day Assembly is this November 11th at 9:30 in the school's gym. Veteran's are encouraged to wear their uniform but are not required.
Family names will not be read this year, but each branch will be called out and students will be asked to stand to give honor to their family members who have served. Please discuss this with your children so they know when to stand.
IB- Class of 2016 Classes
Greetings Class of 2016 and parents,
We are excited about the IB Diploma Program registration and the money available to all juniors and seniors for testing in college-ready examinations such as IB.
Many of you have submitted registration fees for testing in either ESS or Music SL anticipated, which means you are taking an exam this May, lightening your load for next year, taking advantage of money available from the state, and spreading out the financial burden over two years. This is a smart move!
If you do not do as well as expected on your examination this May, you may elect to re-take the exam next May, paying for the exam again. Ms. Andersen and I wanted to be sure you knew that we WILL offer ESS to the current juniors only, for more preparation and review. Our intention is to not offer it after next year. Instead, focusing on a true Group 6 (the arts).
Having said this, if you have submitted registration money, and decide you would rather wait to take the ESS exam until next year, please let me know ASAP as I cannot make any changes to registrations after November 15th.
If you have ANY questions about this, or any other IB-related question, do not hesitate to contact me.
Thank you,
--
